http://www.lecturecapture.com/index.php?app=calendar&module=calendar&do=showevent&cal_id=1&event_id=51

Join us for an Echo360 Lunchtime Seminar kindly hosted by Auckland University of Technology on 8 September 2010.

Speaking at the seminar will be Janette Burke, Library Director of Central Services at Melbourne's Monash University. With Echo360's EchoSystem now deployed into over 85 lecture theatres, Monash are capturing approximately 850 lectures per week for students to access. Implementing a lecture capture service of this scale demands consideration of a wide range of issues, including pedagogy, the creation of privacy and copyright policy as well as infrastructure and resource planning and budgeting. As senior project manager of the EchoSystem implementation at Monash and manager of the service, Janette will be speaking on all these topics and more.

In addition, the seminar will include lunch, and offer a demonstration of EchoSystem's lecture capture for venue recording and its personal capture tool by a representative from Echo360.

At Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), science, technology, engineering and mathematics shines – both in and out of the classroom. As one of the nation’s oldest engineering and technology universities, WPI looks to teach traditional subjects in untraditional ways. Keeping this initiative in mind, the Academic Technology Center (ATC) looked to Echo360® for a lecture capture solution to enhance student learning – without encroaching on faculty and staff time.

Join us for this interactive web seminar, as representatives from the ATC take you through their journey of jazzing up WPI’s STEM curriculum and classrooms with lecture capture. Find out how they lived and learned through deployments, training, and concerns, such as:

- Would students still come to class?
- Would faculty balk at using additional tools?
- Would ten outfitted classrooms be enough?
- Can we use it beyond the classroom? Register today! click here
