Could someone explain to me how the publisher "echo 360 search indexing" is actually used once you apply it to a term? How does a student actually "search"?
thanks!

Steve,
The search publisher is a multi-step process that enables optical character recognition (OCR) on the recorded content that was displayed on the projector. While not limited to slides, OCR does work best on large, clear text and it is possible to even index handwriting.
If a recording has been indexed the students will have an additional tab called "Search" in the rich media player located in the lower left of the screen. When selected the user can input a search term. If the term is found the player will display thumbnail navigation points for the relevant locations within that recording. The student may then click on the appropriate thumbnail to skip that point in the recording.
I hope this helps!
Tom
