Our school (Elon University) uses Blackboard as its content delivery system.
I am teaching an online course this summer. Under "Course Tools" is a link for "Lecture Capture".
Clicking there brings up a page that says:
Proven to increase student satisfaction and outcomes, lecture capture is a must-have technology for all universities. Echo360, a leading
innovator of lecture capture for higher education, is now offering a free version of their personal capture software for use on instructor
computers. The software provides an easy way to create rich media teaching materials featuring audio, video and presentation visuals. Students
access the content through Blackboard, watching and learning from their computer anytime, anywhere. Download the software today to flexibly
deliver educational content and engage students through lecture capture from Echo360!
And is followed by a link named "Download it Now!"
Clicking the link opens a new tab that says:
You are going to be taken to a site hosted by Echo360, Inc., a Blackboard premier partner. Some information about your profile in Blackboard will
be passed to Echo360 to make your registration process easier, and you will be given a chance to modify the data.
Click 'OK' to continue with the registration process.
Click 'Cancel' to return to Blackboard.
Clicking "OK" takes me to the Echo360 "Personal Capture" page, but the only thing that can be downloaded from that page is the Echo360Brochure.pdf.
My class starts next Thursday - from what I can see of it, Lecture Capture is the best option for delivering lectures with powerpoints.
Any thoughts on how I can actually get the free copy of it??
Thanks...
Karl

Thank you for your interest in the Echo360 personal capture offering through Blackboard. Unfortunately, as of December 31, 2010, this program has ended. However, if you are still interested in exploring Echo360 lecture capture solutions, we are happy to have a sales manager to follow up with you.
Thank you again for your interest.
