Hi Echo Community,

We have just started using our ESS in semi production and something that i hadn't noticed before is really bugging me and i think it would be a great feature to add. I'm sure other people out there have a similar problem

What i would like is the ability to manipulate individual bookings within a repeating scheduled. This could be to have every second week recorded out of another venue or perhaps skip every second week.

Let me provide an example of this at the University of Western Sydney. Just a bit of background, our University is rather unique, we have 6 campuses spread over Greater Western Sydney (a reasonably large area) and our academic often teach between them all.

• An Academic teaches between our Campbelltown and Penrith campuses on alternate weeks over a semester.
• On week 1 that academic teaches from our Campbelltown campus, the students from the Penrith campus have the choice of either traveling the km (30 miles) to attend the Campbelltown lecture or watching the Echo at a later date.
• On week 2 the academic will teach from our Penrith campus, the students from Campbelltown now have to option of traveling to Penrith or watch the Echo at a later date.

In echo there is currently no easy way to scheduled this. What i would propose is to have an option to alter the bookings within the scheduled after it have been activated. This could possibly be done by hovering over the scheduled on the Scheduling Tab. When you click this button you would be presented with a list of bookings within the selected repeating scheduled. You could then select 1 or more bookings have the option to alter settings like:

• Venue
• Start Time
• Finish Time
• Title
• Description
• Presenter
• provide option to cancel/skip a booking

I would be interested to see how many other people would utlise something like this at their institution.

Hi Mark,

That would be tremendously useful and save hours of time here.

I've spoken about something similar with the Echo team a few times.

For us even something as simple as using the same functionality as the 'Excluded Dates' feature would be of real value. I.e. an 'included dates' option.

Our lectures rarely move rooms but they do often move times and days. So being able to build up a series of oddly scheduled recordings as part of one booking, instead of making up to a dozen 'single event' bookings would save time and make the UI a lot friendlier.
