Hi All,

Here at the University of Ottawa, we have been working to formalize Echo360 as a service for the last several months. This includes formalizing the intellectual property policies, support levels, etc, and ensuring that every user has what they need to ensure Echo360 continues to be a success. With this, we are asking professors to sign an agreement, and we ensure that they are trained on how to use the system properly (recording, editing, publishing, etc)

This has worked quite well, as we have a direct relationship with our users. However, there are faculties who wish to have a coordinator act as a proxy for their professors. In a couple cases, this has resulted in problems, as the professors do not know about the system or how to use it.

Does anyone have similar experiences with these "proxies"? How do you handle it at your institution?

Thanks!
